After killing an innocent man, Dexter Morgan wonders if the Code of Harry has been designed to protect him not just from exposure but something far more dangerous--- human emotion. It seems that Dexter is becoming more and more susceptible to risks and it's no wonder he's seeking refuge in a fellow monster.
In the episode "Road Kill," the eighth episode of Dexter's third season, Dexter discovers the small cracks in Trinity's perfect family which makes them perfectly normal. Dexter also discovers that Trinity is planning a trip out of town for another home build, though he suspects that Trinity is about to strike on his next victim. At any rate, Dexter takes the opportunity to ride along and gain insight into the mind of a serial killer who manages to have it all.
